Dayspring Head Start students learn their way around a garden!
If you're in the early stages of running a nonprofit and struggling to find your footing, you may be in search of people or organizations to help you along the way. Look no further! The Nonprofit Development Center is a unique program that offers resources, training, consulting, development assistance, and a network of supportive peers to help.
To be eligible for assistance, your nonprofit must be located in Maryland, less than 10 years old, have an operating budget under $750,000, and be classified as a 501 (c) (3), (4), or (6). To remain in the program, you must submit data about your organization upon acceptance and at quarterly intervals.
Organizations who think they may qualify should submit an application. It does not cost anything to submit the application. We’ll review the information you have provided and send you notification of acceptance.
If you are a current member of nonprofits, you should apply to this program, too! Members will receive additional services on top of their current membership benefits.
Take our capacity assessment! This quick online survey will help you identify where you may need to improve and what resources will be most helpful for you.
Take a look at our upcoming events! We regularly schedule in-person learning and roundtable opportunities and online webinars that may be relevant to your needs. Our annual conference is held in the fall each year, and, as an NDC participant, you will receive a discounted conference rate.
MEMBERS ONLY: You can attend our conference for free! Limit one per organization.
MEMBERS ONLY: Schedule an hour-long consulting or training engagement.
MEMBERS ONLY: If you apply and are successful, the cost of your application and first year’s license fee will be covered by this program.
Each class is open to 15 nonprofits on a first come, first-served basis. Each nonprofit may bring 2 people to the training, preferably one board member and one staff member.
