Directions From I-270: From I-270 take Exit 8 - Shady Grove Road West. Go 1.5 miles, cross over Route 28/Darnestown Road. Turn right onto Gudelsky Way and left onto Gudelsky Drive, following the road around to the back of the campus. Building 1 (9640 Gudelsky Drive) is visible first, and Building (9630 Gudelsky Drive) is located directly behind it. The buildings are connected by a covered walkway.

From the Shady Grove Metro Station: Take the R43 Ride-On Bus, which goes directly to the USM Shady Grove Center. Service is provided Monday - Saturday beginning at 6:45 am through 9:45 pm. Take the Beltway exit 31B Georgia Avenue South.  Take Georgia for approximately a half-mile.  Bear right onto 16th Street.  Take 16th Street for less than one mile.  Make a left on Spring Street (after the Blockbuster Video in shopping center).  Go 0.2 miles to 1420 Spring Street.

From Washington, DC and other Points South:

From Downtown:  Take 7th Street north, which later becomes Georgia Avenue.  Follow Georgia Avenue for 6-7 miles into Silver Spring.  Turn left onto Spring Street.  Go 1 ½ blocks to 1420 Spring Street.

     - OR -

Take Connecticut Avenue to East-West Highway.  Turn right onto East-West Highway and take it to 16th Street.  Turn left onto 16th Street and take it to the first right turn, which is Spring Street.  Follow Spring Street to 1420 Spring Street.

By Metro:

Take the Red Line to the Silver Spring station.  From the station, walk north on Colesville Road to Second Avenue.  Cross Colesville (at the McDonald’s) and follow Second Avenue until the intersection of Spring Street and Second Avenue.  The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Inter-Generational Center will be on your right.

Parking:

Parking is available in public lots. Consider Montgomery County lot at Cameron and Second Avenue (same lot used when visiting Maryland Nonprofits Silver Spring Office). Stay on Second Ave side of lot and exit at Fenwick. Walk toward Second Ave, then right to Spring Street.

Take I-495 East or West to Exit 31B, Georgia Avenue South (Route 97). Continue south on Georgia Avenue past the Colesville Road (Route 29) intersection. Continue (southbound) on Fenton Street through the traffic light at Philadelphia Avenue (Route 410). The campus parking garage is just ahead on your right.

By Metro:

Take Red Line train to Silver Spring station, then transfer to Ride On Bus Route 17 or 18.

Parking:

Parking garage is on Fenton Street (intersection with King Street). We have made arrangements that our attendees will be allowed to park in this garage for FREE. From parking garage, walk one block south on Fenton Street, then cross pedestrian bridge (over metro rail tracks) to Health Sciences Center building - 7977 Georgia Avenue, Room HC 222.
