Beyond Smart Growth: Panel Discussion & Happy Hour
To kick off our annual conference, we will be hosting a discussion and panel after the pre-conference sessions on November 12th, 5:30pm – 6:30pm, at the Hilton Washington, D.C./Rockville Hotel, on Beyond Smart Growth: Sustainable and Equitable Economic Development.
Our speakers will help us all take a broader look at economic growth in the context of quality of life for all Marylanders. Gerrit Knaap, author of the report Beyond Smart Growth: An Economic Development Strategy for 21st Century Maryland, will kick us off with an overview of his findings, and our panelists will add their expertise to a discussion of nonprofits and our role in increasing the quality of life for residents in our state.
The discussion and panel will be followed by a happy hour reception.
The panel discussion and happy hour reception are free and open to all attendees. Those who are attending our pre-conference or conference sessions on the 12th and 13th will receive 2 drink tickets to enjoy at the happy hour! Reserve your spot, register here.
