#GivingTuesday, a global day celebrating generosity, takes place on Tuesday, November 29, 2016. It kicks off the charitable
season,
- Pratt Library’s #BookBowl, a football themed fundraising competition between Pratt Library and the Cincinnati Public Library. The competition starts at
of the Ravens/Bengals game on Sunday, November 27 (1 pm Eastern), and runs through the end of #GivingTuesday. The library with the most dollars raised wins! Last year the Pratt defeated rival Cleveland who conceded via video. This year, if Pratt wins, Cincinnati’s Director will wear a beehive wig and Ravens jersey and sing “Crabs for Christmas”; if Pratt loses, the Interim CEO will wear a Bengals jersey and dance the Ickey Shuffle while singing “Welcome to the Jungle”! - Baltimore Teacher Supply Swap is encouraging individuals and families to clear out the clutter in their homes and offices by donating gently used office supplies, arts & crafts materials, and games, toys, etc. BTSS will be accepting donations at their location at 1224 Wicomico Street, Baltimore, MD 21230 on Saturday, November 26 from 11 AM – 3 PM and Tuesday, November 29 from 9 AM – 6 PM. - St. Ambrose Housing Aid Center’s #GivingTuesday celebration includes several exciting components! Between 6-8 PM, the giant LED Board located at 1700 N. Charles Street will track progress towards the agency’s fundraising goal and recognize donors who have given to the campaign. To gain participation from passersby, there will be a surprise flash mob occurring at approximately 6 PM outside of Penn Station. Simultaneously, on the on the 12th floor of UB’s Angelos Center, within sight of the LED board, the agency is hosting a happy hour for donors.
