2016 Legislative Preview and State of Our State: Maryland’s Quality of Life

Join us for the 2016 Legislative Preview on Monday, January 11, 2016 at the Loews Hotel in Annapolis, MD. With the potential to see some contentious issues during this year’s session, our Legislative Preview will provide a unique opportunity for nonprofits to frame our agenda. The session will open up with a “State of Our State:  Maryland’s Quality of Life” led by Heather Iliff, President and CEO of Maryland Nonprofits. We will discuss our key messages about the nonprofit sector to present to the Governor and the Legislature. Speakers will include state elected officials and nonprofit advocates who will discuss the opportunities for the new session, and the challenges of ongoing economic realities.  Presentations will also include policy initiatives of nonprofit advocates, Maryland Nonprofits policy priorities, and how all of these may be affected by Maryland’s continuing ongoing budget problems.
