Spotlight on Members: Keep America Beautiful Month
Did you know? April is National Keep America Beautiful month. In celebration, we’re shining the spotlight on just a few of our members who work tirelessly on preservation, conservation, and beautification projects to help keep Maryland one of the best looking states! The Gunpowder Valley Conservancy, a non-profit organization, mobilizes people and resources to care for the lands, waters and character of the Gunpowder Watershed. Its emphasis is on land preservation, restoration, stream cleanups and education.
The Conservancy is currently looking for volunteers for clean stream projects and tree plantings, check out their calendar of events.
Preservation Maryland
Preservation Maryland is dedicated to preserving Maryland’s historic buildings, neighborhoods, landscapes, and archaeological sites through outreach, funding, and advocacy.

Chesapeake Environmental Protection Association
The Chesapeake Environmental Protection Association (CEPA) works to restore the Chesapeake Bay by affecting environmental policy and action. CEPA provides education on Bay issues and encourages public activism and involvement in both legislation and enforcement.
