About MALVEC

The Mid-Atlantic Latinx Vaccine Equity Coalition’s mission is to get the overall Latino population of Maryland vaccinated. We are a hard working and dedicated coalition that wants to keep our fellow Latinos safe against the deadly COVID-19 virus.

Out of the 3,379,800 Marylanders who have gotten fully vaccinated, roughly 8% of that number are Latino. These numbers are as recent as of June 2021, according to the Baltimore Sun. That makes the number of fully vaccinated Latinos roughly 270,384. The overall Latino population in Maryland is about 606,482. Our goal is to push to get as close to that number as possible. With our team of dedicated workers and volunteers, we intend to continue pushing the number in an upward direction.

MALVEC is not a coalition that is specific to one county, we cover all counties in Maryland. Our efforts are for the benefit of all Latinos in the state.
