Maryland Nonprofits’ Staff Achieve Outstanding Recognition

Two members of Maryland Nonprofits’ staff were recently honored with prestigious and competitive awards for their outstanding service to Maryland’s nonprofit community.  

 

Padraic “Paddy” Morton, Maryland Nonprofits Consulting Attorney, is a 2017 Leadership in Law HonoreeLeadership in Law recognizes Maryland’s legal professionals whose dedication to their occupation and to their communities is outstanding. Since 2002, Paddy has been providing legal consulting in areas of corporate combinations and mergers, nonprofit start-ups, and more to Maryland Nonprofits’ members. Ms. Morton gained her law degree at the University of Maryland School Of Law, J.D. She holds a B.A. in English and Philosophy from Georgetown University. She is a licensed consultant with the Standards for Excellence® Institute. 

 

 

Sawida
Kamara, Project

Management
and Research Consultant, was selected by the Prince George’s County Social Innovation Fund for the Forty UNDER 40 Award. Forty UNDER Forty recognizes top talent in Prince George’s County and seeks to engage them actively in civic and socially oriented ventures through advisory, board service, and advocacy opportunities. Ms. Kamara has over 14 years of experience working in the areas of capacity building, research, and project management in the healthcare, academic and government sectors. At Maryland Nonprofits, she provides project management, strategic

planning
and implementation planning services to a wide range of nonprofit organizations, and is leading Maryland Nonprofits’ Prince George’s 2030 project. Ms. Kamara holds a Master’s in Public Health degree from the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University and is a licensed consultant with the Standards for Excellence ® Institute.
