What Do the New Overtime Regulations Mean for Your Nonprofit?

Many employers will be affected by the updated overtime regulations. Nonprofit employers in particular need to take action now to determine how they will be affected by this change, and must begin making organizational adjustments and plans to prepare. We are here to help with the information you need!

In our recent webinar, participants learned about the key provisions of federal overtime regulation and how they apply specifically in Maryland to nonprofit organizations. We outlined what types of organizations this will be applicable to, discussed employee classification (exempt vs. non-exempt), reviewed relevant provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and helped nonprofits leaders understand what they must do now to prepare for the December 1 deadline.

We were so grateful to have the expertise of Lillian Reynolds, an associate with Venable LLP in the firm’s Labor and Employment practice group.
