How nonprofits can cash in on congressional earmarks

Congress has revived Congressionally Directed Spending, also known in the House of Representatives as Community Project Funding requests and commonly known as earmarks. Congressionally Directed Spending allows members of Congress to direct federal funding to support projects in their district that enhance community priorities, transportation, health care, education, job opportunities, and other important economic development projects. Five members of Maryland’s Congressional delegation have open applications for Congressionally Directed Spending requests:
