Maryland is approaching a time of transition and changeover in government. By the conclusion of this year, we will have elected a new governor and at least 40 new legislators will be preparing to walk the halls of Maryland’s General Assembly.
For 30 years, our membership team has been working hard to make sure that we are keeping up with the nonprofit sector’s ever-changing needs. Today, it is more important than ever that nonprofits across the state have access to the tools and resources they need to serve their communities!

Maryland Nonprofits is seeking presentations, workshops, panels, and facilitated discussions for our 2022 conference, #MANOAC22, which will give nonprofit leaders from across the state an opportunity to learn, connect, rejuvinate, and discuss important issues.
To commemorate its 30th year, Maryland Nonprofits is launching the anniversary campaign, ‘This is the moment to care.’ This initiative will address the urgent need for a shift towards an internal culture of care within the nonprofit sector.
“With Maryland having a $4 billion plus budget surplus, no Marylander should be in need. Nonprofits should not be struggling to keep their doors open.” Says Maryland Nonprofits President & CEO Heather Iliff. On January 19, 2021, 300 nonprofits and nonprofit leaders submitted a letter to Maryland executive and legislative leaders calling for $1 billion of Maryland’s $4+ billion budget surplus be used to “Put People First” and partner with the nonprofit sector.
