NONPROFIT PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY

Nonprofit Prince George’s County’s mission is to “Advance Vibrant Communities through Excellent Nonprofits.” Nonprofit PGC works to improve the effectiveness of nonprofits by providing information and training, advocacy, networking and collaboration opportunities.

• Entry- to executive-level staff and board members of nonprofit organizations with 501(c)3 status.

Support Advocacy: Nonprofit Prince George’s County works with its members to influence policy and create strategic partnerships with public agencies. Through dialogues with the County Executive, directors of government departments, and elected officials during the annual Nonprofit Awareness Week and throughout the year, Nonprofit Prince George’s represents its members interests and public policy priorities. The organization also supports the work of the Maryland Nonprofits as they lobby on behalf of Prince George’s nonprofits in the Maryland General Assembly.

Develop Leaders: Through a range of training and networking opportunities, including the monthly IDEAS & INFO Luncheon, Nonprofit Prince George’s County supports networking, partnership, and collaboration within the county’s nonprofit community. In addition, Nonprofit Prince George’s County also provides free training, technical assistance and coaching to help members become recognized or accredited through the Standards for Excellence Institute.
