Una forma inteligente de ahorrar dinero al tiempo que se obtienen los mejores talentos

Guest blog by Claudia Thorne, Ph.D., M.S.W., L.I.S.W., Director, Mid-Atlantic ReServe

As a nonprofit CEO for many years, I lived in a world of “so much to accomplish with such limited resources.” Doing more with less is the new (or not so new) normal for nonprofits. I wish I had known about ReServe earlier in my career as it provides a cost-effective way for nonprofit organizations to obtain top talent.

ReServe is an Associate Member of Maryland Nonprofits. It is an innovative nonprofit talent resource that puts professionals’ experience to work by matching continuing professionals age 55+ (ReServists) with nonprofit organizations that need their expertise.

With ReServe, nonprofits (Partners) tap into a lifetime of experience to fill crucial staffing gaps at affordable rates. ReServists make meaningful contributions to nonprofit organizations and their communities while putting their professional expertise and passion to work. ReServists do part-time 10-20 hour-a-week assignments in exchange for a modest hourly stipend.

ReServe makes this process simple and cost-effective by handling the time-consuming processes so you don’t have to.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Partner organizations identify opportunities
  2. ReServists are recruited through community meetings and other communications
  3. ReServe facilitates the matching of ReServists to the opportunity
  4. Nonprofits interview, select, hire, and supervise ReServists
  5. ReServe handles payment to ReServists and assumes administrative responsibility

Ready to talk about this great opportunity and receive further information? Please email your complete contact information to Susan Sarfati (susan@ssarfati.com), a ReServe employee who is a highly experienced nonprofit executive. Susan can be reached by phone at 202.365.3440.
