In our recent webinar, participants learned about the key provisions of federal overtime regulation and how they apply specifically in Maryland to nonprofit organizations. We outlined what types of organizations this will be applicable to, discussed employee classification (exempt vs. non-exempt), reviewed relevant provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and helped nonprofits leaders understand what they must do now to prepare for the December 1 deadline.
