This indicator was chosen because on-time high school graduation rates are widely used to indicate educational system productivity and effectiveness—and by proxy, the social and economic well-being of communities.The available data met all of the selection criteria.

In the figures below, values are capped at 95% to protect the privacy of individual students in a given cohort. As a result, values at this level may represent graduation rates above 95%.
